Why can't I share my subscription using Family Sharing?
To share your Ulysses subscription with family members, first make sure that Apple’s Family Sharing feature is enabled for purchased apps. You can find detailed guidance in this Apple Support article.
If Family Sharing is activated but you’re still unable to share Ulysses, the issue may be related to the version of the app. Please check which subscription you have by opening your App Store subscription settings. Your plan will show as either “Ulysses Mobile” or “Ulysses Writing App.” Please note that Family Sharing does not work with Ulysses Mobile.
If you’re subscribed to Ulysses Mobile:
- Cancel your current subscription.
- Email us with your purchase receipt so we can provide you with a free use code for your family member.
- After your current subscription expires, download the Ulysses Writing App from the App Store. This version supports Family Sharing.

Please note: With Family Sharing, only the subscription is shared. Content is not synchronized between family members' devices.
