Setapp is a software subscription service that includes Ulysses and over 190 other macOS and iOS apps. All apps in the Setapp Store are fully functional, without any limitations or in-app purchases. You can read all about Setapp on their website.

Installing and Activating Ulysses on an iPad/iPhone

If you have an active Setapp subscription and want to use Ulysses on your iPhone/iPad, you must register your mobile device as an additional device on your plan. Once you’ve done that, you can check out the iOS/iPadOS versions of Ulysses that appear in the “Available on iOS“ category section of the Setapp store. Testing a Beta Version With Setapp

Currently, only users with an active App Store subscription can test our beta version. However, if you are using the Setapp version, please feel free to contact our support team so they can provide a workaround.

Switching From Setapp to App Store Version

If you currently have a Setapp subscription but plan to subscribe to Ulysses via the App Store, you might be concerned about your Ulysses content when you switch. Since the Setapp version uses the exact same library as the App Store version, all sheets and groups stored in the Notes (iCloud) and Notes (On My Mac/iPad/iPhone) section will appear automatically.  To synchronize content across devices, please use the same Apple Account and ensure iCloud is enabled on all devices.
