Counter Settings
If you've enabled the counter, you might want to adjust its settings to display a different parameter—like the word count instead of the character count. To do this, click on the counter in the top-right corner and choose from the available options.
To turn the counter on or off on your Mac, go to the top menu bar and select View › Show Counter. On iPad, go to the Editor Settings (via the circled ellipsis in the editor) and activate/deactivate this option under View Options.
Norm Page Settings
Do you ever wonder how the dashboard calculates the length of your sheet in pages? It's based on a "norm page" with 60 characters per line and 30 lines per page by default. If you prefer a different page length, you can customize the norm page calculation.
On Mac, open the dashboard and click the settings icon at the bottom right corner of the Progress view. Here, you can change Characters/Lines and Lines/Pages to fit your needs.
On iPad/iPhone, touch and hold a group, tap Get Info › Progress, then tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
Currently, the statistics don't consider the specific way you export the page, so the exported number of pages may vary depending on the export style you choose.
