Using a built-in Apple system feature, you can also have your texts read aloud in Ulysses. This article shows you how to set it up.
Mac
First, make sure that you have activated the option “Speak selection” in System Settings › Accessibility › Read & Speak.
Now, select the text in Ulysses, right-click it, select Speech, and then Start Speaking:

Alternatively, press the default key combination ⌥esc (Option-Esc ) or your specified keyboard shortcut.
iPad/iPhone
Please go to iOS/iPadOS Settings › Accessibility › Read & Speak and enable Speak Selection. You can also turn on Speak Screen if you want to read the entire screen aloud.
Then open Ulysses and swipe down with two fingers from the top of the editor to have the full text read aloud. Alternatively, select the text, tap the right-pointing arrow in the pop-up menu, and choose Speak:
